Default water feed lines

Blew my Turbo a couple weeks back. Turbo had only done like 10 000km.The guys who serviced it said its irrepairable and the likely problem was overheating.

He said I need to re-check the water feed lines.

So I just wanted to ask you guys if the lines I have are correct where they coming from and flowing too.

BTW I was running pure water and Redline water wetter. Funny thing is my water temps were fine.

Cna anyone post pics of teh correct places? Ill post some pics up shortly.

On my 30r, I had 2 -6an or -8an (I forget) welded on my mishi radiator, and pulled it from there.

Super clean, and worked for the year I had it.

I know this isn't answering your question but though you might want to know this:

Unfortunately as was said, those turbos are not repairable, however Garrett does have a trade-in program though, where you send in the broken center section (CHRA) and they sell you a new one at a discounted rate: http://www.turbobygarrett.com/turbobygarrett/bbservice

I think it ends up being ~$550 vs ~$900. Definitely worth it... basically a $350+ discount for something that is useless/worthless to you. I'd recommend using ATP Turbo for the trade-in program. Their service is top notch and they don't care if you are the original owner of the turbo or not like some other dealers do.

Beautiful work!

For all that don't see the details here, Paul is using steel line out of the center section to ensure that the lines will not burn/melt. Then has welded fittings to the coolant crossover and the block. Definitely first class!!!

Paul, fill us on your source for the parts/if you are going to start selling them. This is one of the only things I did not like about the PTuning kit, I will be upgrading hard pipes also.

We wanted to include hard water lines for the chra but most customer would not understand the benefit or appreciate the additional cost

Thanks for noticing Scott! The fittings I bought are XRP fittings from a local shop www.dmpfasteners.com, if you call him ask for Derek. Tell him Paul from International Grind sent you!

I measured and cut everything up and asked him to weld the fittings for me. I've since decided to route the oil feed to an oil port to have a secure location for an oil pressure sensor on the frame somewhere. I'm also thinking of changing the heater hose barbs to AN fittings for more heat control there too, I just have a profound and deep-seated spiritual condition of insecurity in taking off the dashboard...and I'm just lazy.
