Saying that you have a quaife or cusco "diff" when you really just have an LSD made by those companies is a little misleading.

And totally pointless. The part that fails in a diff is not the center, it's the housing and crown and pinion. Quaife don't make those.

I was on the same boat as you; but after doing tons of research, heres my 2 cents:

the Transmission is a dilemma- but you should be able to push it enough to handle that power. I know with all the variables its all relative to each individual car and how you drive, but personally
I raced hundreds of times (and im not even joking) at 465whp and never had a problem with my transmission until i went to 540whp.
The options out there for you with the transmission will cost way too much. your best bet is to put money on the side, in case your tranny ever breaks, in order to get an oem replacement. you could do this at least 3 times before you end up catching up to the price it would take to reinforce just one.

and for reinforced axles, I highly recommend a company called gator axles in orlando. They ship anywhere and make quality axles for a damn good price. if not, the driveshaft shop.

I agree. talk to ben (s2kpuddydad I believe on the forums). he has zero complaints about his work, highly reputable, and he will build you a diff to your needs for less the money than anything out there for your HP range.

heres an idea of some of the work he does on s2k's

Case closed. DONE

I'd still love to see a C5/C6 transaxle retrofit

the car goes out next week any other input on rear ends i was looking at the 8.8 rear end for future power but its overall going to cost me more than 3k as of right now im going to probably stay at a steady 450 rwhp and so i need something that will easily hold that and not decide to break in 2000 miles.
