I dont mean to hijack or anything, but I read before about your (eri s2k) setup, with the velocity stack (I think thas what its called) and I saw also, that Sideways, you made a pipe for another guy on here for the filter. This is pertaining to Vortech SC of course.

My questions are:

1) Does the velocity stack really make a difference?
2) Isnt it dangerous to run it without a filter?
3) If you replace the Vortech air filter setup with a filter directly to the blower, does it really matter the temperature of the air if you have an aftercooler to take care of that extra heat??

Thanks in advance.

1. Probably not very much. The biggest advantage in this case would be in attempting to control where the air is pulled from.

2. Yes, it can be dangerous. Imagine sucking debris or something large into the compressor. Shrapnel city.

3. The aftercooler is going to cool the air a specific amount at each flow rate. That is, it will provide you with a temperature delta of X degrees at any given air throughput value. The higher the inlet tempertaure, the higher the outlet temperature. The aftercooler will only cool the air a finite amount.

Uhmm i really dont know if it makes ant difference with the velocity stack on the SC but it looks cool!

Running w/o FILTER? Yes is dangerous, but it all depends how much you use your car, And i give a ride to my S2k like 2 or 3 times a Month, So i dont Worry about debris, And BTW is hard for debris to make it to the SC

BTW, i Run a Paxton Blower
