What kind of gauges are people running?

AEM failsafe gauge (AFR/Boost), which you can configure a few different ways (have the number either display AFR or Boost and the LED's display either as well). I have the SoS bezel that replaces the audio controls and just retains the start button aside of the steering wheel.

It looks like there are quite a few Chinese made gauges/cheaper stuff out there (no surprise), but the small savings aren't worth the headache down the road imo.

Is there a preferred wideband setup these days? Are they all very accurate/response? I'm running flashpro and I think there's an option to wire in a wideband (I know the stock sensor is a wideband as well). Anyone with any input it's much appreciated.
From reading the hondata forums, you have a few options to feed a wideband into the flash pro yet you have to use the factory o2 for closed loop tuning. The new wideband can only be datalogged against it. You can replace the ELD or I'd your ecu supports there's a port open you can use. I'm also trying to track down what gauge to use for a supercharged setup I'm putting on the car from IMT.

It's interesting looking at gauges how things have changed over time. I ordered the AEM xseries wideband. It's confusing because there's an older model still made, but the x-series is newer and looks like the one to go with. A lot of other options are designed for wiring into EMS systems, like the aem failsafe, etc. I still have to pass emissions, so I'm running flashpro, but it's awesome the ability of EMS's these days to monitor things and have so many built in failsafes and adjustments on the fly. I still like having a separate gauge for AFR and boost to easily monitor. The other oil pressure/oil temp/coolant I have mounted in the visor in a multi gauge which works well. I'm not a fan of a ton of gauges in your face.

i dont recall if you could hook up a buzzer or actual alarm to the gauge but i know its possible through the aem ecu. but the gauge could only display 1 item at a time but you could set limits and alarms that if something tripped the alarm it would automatically switch to that channel. so say you had it displaying boost pressure but water temps reached or surpassed the limits you set it would change the gauge to water temp and display its reading. you had to also manually scale the green/yellow/red lights but if you did so when it flipped to water temp it would show red leds. the software wasnt super friendly and a bit confusing to setup aswell. everything was in volts you had to manually go in and convert the voltage readings to whatever actual value you wanted to display, linear values were pretty simple to convert but if the sensor wasnt linier then it was a pain and took forever to input 200 values one by one.. it was certainly not a easy quick thing to setup. ultimately thats why mine died, i got the basics calibrated to get it running, but i spent several hours adjusting all the fine details to read how i wanted, set up the led sweeps for all the parameters i wanted, etc. i thought my laptop was plugged in but i guess the cord was half shoved in and died while writing the files. aem was useless as its no longer supported, likely all i need is uncorrupted firmware but they couldnt send it to me. ive been looking into multigauge options now that aem makes the serial to can adapter. the aem gauge is cheap enough, but the others on the markets end up putting me only a few hundred off just going to a dash

I'm using one of the GaugeArt CAN gauges that SoS sells. I love, love, love it. I can set alarms, min and max values, monitor tens of parameters, etc. Paired with an Infinity 506 ECU for those curious.

Also, I like the gauge where it's at for easy reference, rather than down by the engine start button where the audio controls are.

The "problem" with those CAN gauges is they are not flashpro compatible correct? Seems like you need an AEM or other "standalone."?

I like this setup a lot. Where did you get that stand/mount? Does it come with the GaugeArt?

Thank you! I think I got it from either Amazon or rallysportdirect, just some cheap 52mm pod. I wanted something adjustable and easily relocated if I fancy a change. Unfortunately the GA didn't come with a pod.

I'm with the others who recommend the SOS gaugeart can gauge. I'm monitoring oil and fuel pressure along with everything the ECU sees. I also sometimes use it for a shift light.

I ended up 3d printing my 52mm pod. This is a great spot for my gauge.

Which sensors are compatible for the SOS can gauge? - IE: can I wire a defi oil temp/pressure sensor to this?

I have an 06 S, so this thing will just plug into the OBD port... the OBD port can't tell us oil temp/pressure readings though right?

I really like the idea as I have an AEM serial gauge for boost & AFR and Defi Oil temp and oil pressure gauges.. if I could consolidate down to 1 or 2 gauges from 3, and would be great.
