What Thermostat with a KOYO Radiator?
Hey guys thinking of getting a Koyo radiator, I didnt realize how inexpensive they are, what thermostat do you guys recommend?, do I need one, or how can I have mine open at a lower temp?

Just leave the stock thermostat in there unless you track the car, road race i mean. There is no need to drop the factory opperating temp and it'll run its best at that temp. The larger radiator is only there to maintain that temp easier than the stock radiator.

I would ask why you are getting the radiator to begin with?
IF you change your thermostat at any time, use a thermoswitch and radiator cap that work in conjunction with it. Don't just swap one or the other.

I my self think it is definitely worth switching to the koyo radiator. With a turbo the engine can get hotter faster and with a larger radiator it will help reduce that heat much quicker by cooling the engine faster. Plus having an intercooler in front of the small oem radiator limits its cooling capabilities. With the koyo, it just helps overcome that less air flow much better.

I went with an OEM thermostat, but a J's Racing fan switch. Keeps idle temps lower.
You can get a cooling package from GT Motoring (s2ki sponsor) that includes Samco hoses, Koyo Radiator, J's Racing radiator cap, and J's Racing fan switch, all for $550 shipped.

*shrug* I have an all stock cooling system with the 750hp intercooler (completely blocks the radiator) and I have 0 overheating issues even during the summer time.
Is it nice to upgrade, I guess? Is it needed, absolutely not.
