What year s2k is best for turbo.

Default What year s2k is best for turbo.

Hey guys im about to buy an s2k i want to fully build the motor and turbo it. What year s2k is the best year for turboing and overall quiality of parts (ex. the diff).

buy the cheapest one you can find, and the money you don't spend on the car, use that for the turbo parts....diff too....

so basically cheapest s2k in good condition you can find

if you're going to rebuild the car for turbo, then any year is good pretty much

if you WERENT going to rebuid the motor then I think most would agree that an AP2 with the 2.2L motor is more suited to boost.

With large power levels the AP1 and AP2 diff both run the risk of breaking, so and upgrade is probably in order no matter what.

The AP1 might be better suited for boost due to its tranny's longer gear ratios.

ya but 5 and 6 are longer in ap2's, thats why i would say gor for that, (atleast the tranny)

ap2: quicker spool, more tq, stronger oem diff. nuff said.

What about taking 5 & 6 from an AP2 and putting them in an AP1's transmission?
