What was your total downtime while going FI?
I know some people have thrown superchargers together in one night. But what about turbo owners? Just list the number of hours, days, weeks, months, until you were able to drive you car with boost for the first time.
about 6 hours for the turbo install, 2 hours another day for gauges and injectors and EMS, and another 3 and half hours another day for clutch install another day. Could've done it all in one day but just spaced it out.

on the 1 week part

Dropped the car off at inline and had everything installed, tuned, and ready to pick up about a week later
I forgot how much I paid... I wanted everything done right... the turbo install, the headgasket install, tuning, wiring, etc etc... so it didnt really matter to me.
To me spending some extra money at a reputable shop that backs up their work is worth it to prevent any headaches and problems in the future. I guess you can say its in a sense paying for peace of mind... which you cant really put a price on.

How much are you guys paying just for the install, without tunning?
flat rate FTW!!! I've had some things go wrong, but my installer and i agreed, I pay x amount of dollars, and it comes back to me running w/ boost, end of story, so my downtime has beeen OUT OF THIS WORLD and judging by the answers im seeing here, rather embarrasing, They are doing great work, but I've been waiting for 2 weeks for a new turbo from turbonetics otherwise it's done... BOO!!!
I'm about 6 weeks in without touching my S, it will be done the instant the new turbo comes, they have just about 30 min of tuning left...

I bought my kit last year from Cody, it's been sitting at his house this entire time. With all the Hypertune problems and then having to have it installed by him i'm finally scheduled for the the first week in april.

When I first turbo'd my S, me and two friends got the entire install done over the course of a 3-day weekend. Keep in mind I was only running ~7.5psi with a rising rate fpr, so there as no downtime for tuning and whatnot. Then I blew my rings and decided to build my engine.. total downtime on that was ~9 months, but that's because it took me awhile to get enough funds to finish the project.
