Default whats better open loop or closed loop boost control

i wanted to know what are most people running are they running open loop or closed loop boost control. im using open loop right now so i can figure out about how much boost i get for the duty that i run. is open loop better then closed loop. what do you setup do you run and why? i have a haltech pro i know that closed loop tries to stay at the traget boost you want but first you need to find out whats the base duty for the amount of boost so it can work.

A properly setup closed loop system of course will be better as it will be able to target a set boost and adjust duty cycle to maintain that boost even if your bias duty cycle settings are a bit off.

You should tune WOT in open loop. You should daily drive in closed loop. Closed loop keeps your target AFRs where you want them ALL the time. Even in closed loop, when you go WOT, it uses the open loop settings you used during ur tune. You don't want to cruise around in open loop unless you have tuned every possible combination of part throttle and cruising AfRs.

I would love to have a closed loop type of operation with boost control but I assume it would be pricey! Matt, what were those brands you mentioned that offered this?
