Default Where to mount oil pressure/oil temp sensors

Let me know what you guys think about these mounting locations, or if there are other/better options.

Thinking oil temp in the red circle, oil pressure in the green circle (will require losing the factory oil sensor)

Running K-Pro, so not sure if the OEM dummy light is needed.

You could connect an oil pressure sender to the vtec solenoid (where the pressure switch used to reside) if you want to keep your oil pressure switch in its current location.

This is exactly what I'll be doing in a week or two. I was thinking I'd have it Y off and give me both temp and pressure.

Dummy light is not needed, ECU does not see it. Will not throw the light unless it is connected to ground.

If that is your actual car, please remove the pressure sensor off the line and run a soft line so you don't crack the block. With so much weight see-sawing off the block has cracked a bunch of people's blocks, or cracked the fitting, causing an instant drop of oil pressure; it is pretty annoying to fix.

Personally, I'd have the oil temperature sensor as close to running oil as possible. If your oil relocator is anything like mine, when you put the temp sensor into it, it isn't actually near flowing oil. My temperature changed at least 20 degrees when I moved it from the fitting you circled in red to the one you circled in green.

Thanks for the responses, hopefully I got it figured out!

Soul - was thinking of putting the temp sensor where you suggested, but the probe is so long that it blocks over half the diameter of the "T" fitting when mounted there...thought it might decrease the oil flow to the turbo?

This may not be the most deal but I ran a double t fitting from my turbo oil feed line.

So it went:
T fitting off block to oil pressure switch and to turbo oil feed line.

From the turbo oil feed line, I had another t fitting connected to another t fitting which had the oil press and temp sensor on each side. Then the other part of the t fitting left connected to an additional short turbo feed line ans then to the turbo

It's been working fine since, with what seems like accurate and consistent readings for both.

You might want to consider our ODB block setup. It was designed to address the issues mentioned in this thread, including eliminating the weak T's off the block and addressing the long probe from the temp sensor. It's a clean setup that allows you to mount all the oil related sensors in one location. You can also mount a VAC block as well and route all your vac/boost source from one location.

Yea I was looking at that. Unfortunately my oil filter relocation kit mounts my oil filter in the same location that your distibution block mounts to.

Do you have pics of your oil relocation mount from an aerial view. Trying to determine if you can mount our ODB over the top of your oil relocation mount, with longer bolts.
