Iam s/c @15 psi and soon to remove my 3mm HG.
I want to know how many of us f/I guys are boosting more than 14 psi with
completely stock internals.
No head gasket or anything.

because by removing it i will gain 50whp approximately

i dont track the car and i wont redline it every day so probably its worth risking

well if you don't redline it, you won't see the ma power since you have a SC. I say, keep the HG and redline it. It'll be as fast and much more safe.

If you really really need some extra horses, get a Nitrous Kit and use it when needed. (still with the HG on though)

an extra 50 horsepower every once and a while (no one redlines it all day long) vs a 5,000 dollar engine....

I think the 5,000 dollar engine is worth more then a little bump in hp. Keep the headgasket and never worry about it gernading.

it wouldnt be wise to take the HG out after dumping all the money to get it in.

If you can pull out mad timing you might get away with it. Talk to your tuner.

I'm with everyone else here. If you're that power hungry get a turbo. A nice tubular manifold setup WILL make 450+ on 14-15 psi.

my concern is that with the 3mm HG and 15psi up to 7000rpm i have less power than i had with 7psi .
if you have not already please take a look here to the bottom of the page

i can probably make the power that i have now with only 10psi.
i feel like its worthless psi
