I've read through the long threads about the krank vents, and the different setups. It seems like the SC guys benefit from having both installed, and the turbo guys have a different set of options. One is to go with a breather filter and only install one krank vent. My turbo installers recommended that I only put in the PCV side vent, and to put on a breather filter on the front of the valve cover.
If I wanted to run both, I'd need to recirculate the front breather back into the turbo intake, right?
I'd like to keep it as simple as possible, but am I not going to get the full effects of the full vacuum in the crank case?
Sorry, but it just seems like this was the one question that was never answered in that big thread yet was hinted at a couple of times and nobody replied.
To answer your two questions. no front KV, no vacuum; you can either run it back into the turbo intake or put a small breather on it.
I was the first S2000 to run the KV (since late 2002) and have never had any problems with it except the noise, which didn't bother me. You can only hear it at idle, and to me, it sounds kind of cool. Everyone asked "what is that?". I smiled and said "my secret weapon".

There seemed to be some negative possible consequences by having both, especially since I'm not running a catch can. One, I read that the motor does breath back in on the front part of the valve cover and by having the krank vent it doesn't allow that. I don't know if there are negative consequences but you guys seem to have been running them a long time.
If I run both, with a breather, and do NOT run a catch can, will this be beneficial?
Nope, I know where they're supposed to be installed, I'm just wondering if I run both, with a breather, and do NOT run a catch can, will this be beneficial? I only have the one for the PCV on and I know that I don't have that vacuum, only the stopping of boost in crankcase.
My setup is different from yours in that I have a turbo.

If you run the front KV back to the intake of the turbo there is the very slight possibility of oil getting fed into the intake and into your intercooler. With a breather this wouldn't be a problem.
