Without a vac line the wastegate doesn't know when to open, it needs a boost signal. Its kind of like hooking up a BOV without a vac source, it won't work too well.

if he was just running of the wastegate spring tension before, I don't think the vacuum line from the boost signal source to the wastegate is the answer he is looking for here.

I am willing to bet that he had a vac line on there before though.

Funny because I saw this post last night and no one posted about the vacuum line but i decided not to because I was giving him the benefit of the doubt that in his previous setup he did have a vacuum line connected to it so that couldn't be it

Bad news is, I drove the car for over a year with open nipple on the compressor and WG. Cody's or my fault, no one told me
A manual bost controller solved the problem. Car is on the dyno now, at 7psi I see 328whp, timing untouched so far...there goes the "DIY porting is retarded" therory 98RON fuel btw.

It wouldnt be codys fault at all, why would you even bring it up as it might have been his fault. judging by the non existant vac line on the w/g ide say your mecahnic is prob to blame for that issue. its not codys job to tell you how to install it. and I believe in every w/g there is direction. also dont think companys like Tial and Hks would make hole on the sides of their w/g for fun.

Great numbers at 6 psi now lets see the dyno graph. until theres a graph is just a myth

So you've had a boost leak all this time eh. Car sound much different now that it's fixed?

It dropped about 40 degrees and my integra slowly boosted more and more as the temps dropped, I went from 8 to 12 psi.
