Default Will a bad wideband sensor cause engine problems?

So for the last few weeks my car has been sputtering and hesitating between 3-5k and when I go WOT it feels like it's running on three cylinders (lack of power) can that be due to my wideband sensor kicking the bucket?

Do you have lean protection enabled?

^ this. also what is your engine management?

If you don't have lean protection enabled, then a bad wideband should be irrelevant at WOT, as the computer is running in open loop and not using the info from the wideband (unless you have certain newer high dollar VE based standalone's).

Depends, but generally a wideband is not used to control fueling at WOT.

I'm using an AEM V2 and I've never messed with it due to not having a pc I had it tuned at Churches. It's sputtering at low rpm too though, and when I go WOT it stops sputtering but it feels like there's barely any power and I can hear a difference in the sound. It doesn't sound like a boxer. Just sounds like weak.

Well you aren't giving us much to go on here, but it doesn't sound like a wideband issue. Is there any particular reason you thought that was the issue to start with? Sounds more like a fuel delivery or spark plug issue to me. If you aren't comfortable/knowledgeable working on the car, I suggest taking to a performance shop and having them diagnose the issue.

Im sorry. So after getting a new AEM 320lph fuel pump the car ran great for about a week. After going WOT until about 110 on a road I got to a stoplight. When I took off the car was sputtering after like 10% throttle and it sputters unless i mash about halfway into the throttle when it builds boost and then it feels way weaker than normal (it has 512whp so you can understand I know how it feels when it's at full power lol) and when it's WOT its boosting but the RPMs aren't climbing fast like they would normally. And it feels like it's running on less cylinders. But at idle it sounds normal. I pulled the injector cables and everyone of them makes a huge difference so I eliminated that. I replaced the plugs with some r5671a-9 plugs gapped to .20. Still didn't solve the problem. The fuel pump is wired with stock wiring but it doesn't make sense that it would be the problem if it was running fine for a while? I also have a new ignition coil that I'm going to swap around this week. I just need some advice because I'm at my wits end with this car.

I think the fuel pump with stock wiring seems like the culprit. Someone with more knowledge will chime in but I'm pretty sure you'd want to beef up that wiring. I've seen a handful of posts on this matter so that's where I'd start.

But how come it ran fine with the stock wiring for a week or so until it started having the problem?

I couldn't answer your question, but I could swear someone else on here had just about the exact same story, within the last month or so. Rewiring the pump was the solution if I remember right. Maybe someone else can point you to the thread. Regardless, it's one of the cheapest & quickest items to cross of the list, with the exception of the injector plugs which you tried, and the coil that you're about to try.

Have you inspected the spark plugs yet?
