Default will changing the gap on spark plug effect tune?

sorry if this is a stupid question but will changing spark plug gap effect the tune? i check my spark plug the other day and it was .040" for some reason lol. i changed it to .025" on the new plugs. will this effect the tune at all?

going from a biiger gap to a smaller gap will be fine, if you were tuned on .040" gap you shouldnt get anything with a bigger gap than that but smaller gap is fine

If you weren’t getting any spark blow out at .40. theoretically that should offer better more complete combustion then the closer gap. The closer gap will have a more concentrated spark, better to suppress blow out, but the smaller spark may not ignite all the charge as well and you could find that your power has gone down as well as increasing carbon build up in partial and WOT throttle.

Generally it is common practice to increase your gap when you increase your spark voltage. I’d stick with the OEM 0.30-35 range unless you are experiencing blow out, then you have to reduce your gap or upgrade your coil packs or ignition.
