AP2 diff

 

i been through 2 ap1 diffs. both on mickey thompsons at the track when they broke hahaha!

 

imi still on my ap2 stock diff at 535 hp. but like spec i never drop the clutch or power shift, theres no point when the car is this fast

 

2002 AP1 15k miles w/ 400rwhp and prob 20k boosted total miles all on stock diff w/ 255 width tires. No launches though.

 

What does the diff do when it breaks?

It involves opening the diff, and machining a solid steel sleeve to go around the pinion gear/half shafts where they enter the diff. It prevents the pinion gears from wobbling under high torque.

PM S2kPuddyDad, he is the builder. I think its several hundred $ just for the sleeve job, as the diff/gears need to be opened/reset to install it.
