Thumbs down WTF is wrong with my Greddy Kit?

Ok so Im on the highway some douche in 2006ish S600 V12 is in the lane next to me, it comes to one lane, I see him inching foward we both hit it, of course the S pulls through with the win

Now fast foward to the toll booth, I slowly roll out in 1st, he is exiting the toll booth next to me, we both hit it once again, my car basically seems to lose a lto of power, I heard a Light tinny type of popping at higher RPMS in second gear (Detonating?), boost only reaches 8PSI and he worst part, the douchebag in the mercedes blows me away, so he thinks his car is faster

Fueal gauge doesnt read below 1/4 of a tank, but I use ,mileage and I have about 65-70 miles to go before empty (3-4 gallons?) IS it possible that when I hit it in 1st at 4,000RPMS I starved my FUel pump?

This is annoying,, becuase if my car cant perform when getting on it hard, WTF is the point?

What do you guys think could be wrong?

Might be detonation.

You can get a fuel pressure gauge to know if its the fuel pump getting starved (although that doesn't help the problem now) or an A/F gauge to see if the car is running lean.

I'd say fill her up again and see if it goes away and go from there.

you mentioned your boost only reaching 8psi, what was it set at before?

any tiny popping or clicking at high RPMs can be your boost control solenoid (if you have one). Could have been working fine (since this is the noise it makes when it bleeds off boost) and something else went wrong, or maybe even the solenoid went bad (which might explain why you are now back to base boost levels).

A single pop noise could be an IC pipe disconnecting (thus loosing boost).

Or tiny popping/clicking noises could be detonation like you mentioned.

what did your AFR gauge read at the time?

if you did not see it, what does it usually read at WOT?

also, you said you don't even get past 8psi.. how much are you boosting?

well, I dont have an AFR gauge, and normall Boost settles around 9-10PSI. Car ran fine after but it was that one little 1st-3rd gear pull where it acted wierd and the S600 blew me away, whereas I had just pulled him on the highway

joey i think your best bet is to get an AFR gauge; not saying your problem is related to it but it is an absolute must if you are turbo! since you are running high boost on a high compression engine, detonation may happen and you want to make sure you are not encouraging it by running lean!

also, 10 psi is pushing the limits on stock compression; this is a point of contention and some will not agree with me. however, i suspect you are running 10psi more often than a 10psi supercharger because we hit peak boost early and hold it until redline so its def something to think about!

some sort of boost leak (do a boost leak test), you were fuel starved (get a A/F gauge), or when going through the toll, your IAT's increased alot and the stock ECU retarded timing.

the one thing that I like about my MANUAL BOOST controller is the higher I go up to redline the BOOST slowly settles back down, so when I first go WOT usually hits 10PSI, by Redline, it is around 9 or so PSI
