ive checked the forums and im looking into getting a road bike because i want to go further. I do about 20 mile rides with my mtn/hybrid bike right now. I have a rockhopper with slicks on right now and ive been doing 20 miles fine. I want to be able to do 40-50 mile rides to the beach and back if i can really. Single speed is alot harder no?

Figured I would join in .

I have some old school freestyle bikes. All a 'work in progress'

Always looking for more to add to the collection !!

And my road bike racking up the miles..

these are sick!!

I have been looking for a 1990 to 94 Dyno "Compe" or slammer.
I had a compe when i was really young and it got stolen from.
..hahha, I'v had plenty of bikes since then, but still they are pretty rare and hard to find!

I had a gray and black comp with 5 spoke black mags back in the day. I sold it for $125 back in 94 to help pay for my Hoffman Condor.

If you're going further, I would definitely suggest a geared bike. It'll be useful and nice to have if you find that you like to climb hills or mountain roads. It opens up a lot of options.

Buying used is also an alternative, I bought my first bike used and got a lot more for my money. You can look on ebay or craigslist (that's where I found mine).

Thanks man, I've been getting really nice feedback on that bike. I wasn't sure at first how it would turn out.
