I think the E92 M3 looks very aggressive for being bone stock. I think you guys are too use to looking at modded E46 M3's.

I think most will agree that the older 3 series were noticeably less aggressive than the M3s. The E46 M3s had much wider rear fenders to accommodate more aggressive (lower) offsets. The front fender vents were more pronounced, as well as the front fascia being more aggressive. There was no mistaking it. I am not saying this looks exactly like the non M car, but the resemblance is greater in this generation.
I think they played it too safe... and I agree with Graphtuner. It might go like hell, but it looks kinda dull.
Look at the difference between an M5 and regular 5 series- the difference is instant and unmistakable. The M cars look best, and are remembered, when they are distinct.
Look at the pics again. This new M3 has wider fenders front and rear. The only ///M car to have that since the E30. This car is more distinct than any M5, or the last two M3's. Irony, LOL!

I prefer the E46 but this is most likely going to perform better.

I think i'm going to have to get used to seeing it first. Still a HUGE fan of the E46's, and still don't really like the new 3 series at all.

BMW designs are always very progressive... give it another 6 months and the E46 will look like a box.
