they don't look as small in person. they don't look like 17's, but they don't look as small as the pictures make them look. thanks for all the comments

hot. one of my alltime favorites.

Whats the offest?

I'm looking to pick up a set to run as my street wheel and mount R-comps to the sw388's. Just need them to clear blue calipers.

mine are 51 offset front and rear. i highly doubt they'd clear spoon calipers. i remember seeing a guy selling a set of 16x7/8 with 32 offset front and rear, and those would probably clear, but you'd have to do a decent amount of fender work to make those fit on the rear. can't remember who it was that had those though.

The same way an 1980 BWM 525i looks funny on 2007 M5 wheels I feel bad for a "up to date" looking car sitting on 80s rims....why?

80's? i don't really have a clue what years these were offered, but I was thinking they were more around the late 90s or so. to me the type-01 is almost like the BBS LM though, a timeless design that doesn't show it's age. these are my full time street wheels and for now i plan on using stock wheels for the track, so to me these are the perfect balance of aggressiveness and sexiness for a street car. i also like the look of smaller wheels with meaty tires (although not quite as meaty as these asx's) so the 16's are just perfect to me.

One of my all time fav's as well, but the tires look like 60 series or so. Either way, the wheels are dope.
