Does adding an 18" wheel requires lowering the car? or it will be much higher off the ground than stock?

When you go larger wheel you have to go with tires that have smaller sidewalls... if you do it right, at the end, there will be no difference is the circumfrence of very little difference.

lowering is just for looks.

Thanks everyone for the kind words. Honestly these rims are amazing... no pictures could EVER do them justice. When I put them on thurs night... I got the same feeling as when I first drove the s2000 off the lot... pure happiness.

So with this set up you're not having any problems with rubbing, etc?

I am going to go get the car aligned and dial in a little camber all around. With that, it shouldn't rub ever. Right now, I don't think things will rub. But since I want to lower the car a little, I will have to dial in a little more camber, just to play it safe.

Shing.........if you need a little more clearance in the rear without rolling the fenders, you can remove that little black trim piece that lines the flange of the fender. I removed mine and gained about 3/8" extra clearance. I DID find a spot of rust on the paint under the trim, so I'll have to take the car back to Honda to get that repaired under warranty.

Otherwise, all is great. I'm posting my pics Saturday afternoon (05/25). Your car looks good! and will look even better once it is dropped. If you use the KG-MM's be prepared to chew through the rear tires. You'll get about 3 degrees of neg camber....it can be dialed out, but doing so may see you touch the fender, requiring a roll job.

Cheers,

Where did you get them, and how how much? Also, what are the offsets on the front? The rears are +55 right?

How fast do you recon? I don't drive the S too often so maybe it'd be ok. 3* should give me plenty of "tuck".
