Default 2002 blue

I don't know if these are new or not, but I haven't seen them before, so here goes:

so it's not really that bad of a color. i was thinking it was lighter. i have to see it in black interior and in person to really judge the car. nice.

Unfortunately, you won't be seeing it with a black interior unless you go to Japan. It's only available in the US with a blue interior.

I know this because I've been trying to get my hands on a color combo available in Japan but not the US -- silver with red/black interior (circa 2001). Just got off the phone with American Honda and they told me that they do not build any cars to order.

I saw it in person yesterday. The color is exactly like that in those pics. At some angle, it is more purple; at some other angle, it is more blue.

I don't understand it. If all those combinations (2x13x5x2=260 combinations) are available in Japan, and all the S2000s worldwide are built on the one assembly line, then why restrict the exports to a few combinations of colors? It looks like the silverstone and monte carlo blue are still available in Japan, plus the new silver and light blue (and those wild colors).

Personally I still like the black/red combination interior of 2000/2001 better than the all-red interior of 2002, and it is still being assembled in the same factory in Japan; just not exported to America. Too bad.

I think the blue looks really good, still undecided on the blue interior, maybe it will grow on me when i see it in person. For now i think the black interior looks the best with blue.

Usually a big fan of blue but still out on this one. The blue interior and roof are definitely enough blue to make me puke, but to each his/her own.
