Just figured I'd post these pics from this past weekend's auto-x.

The angle isn't exactly the same on all of the pix. Plus two of the runs had passengers.

But here are some pix of s2k's with and without front bars on the auto-x course.

BTW - I'm man enough to say I got beat pretty bad by these guys this weekend.

 

Are you talking about sway bars?

 

Bars? Que pasa? Strut tower bars?

 

Front sway bars.
Does look like they are generating more speed for a like amount of inside lift. I'm surprised there is not a greater difference though. That's what I make of it. What did you make of it? How different were the times? BTW, I think these pics were a great conversation starter.

 

Sorry guys, I should have said, stiffer/bigger front sway bars.

 

If those pics are anything to go by the Mugen bar isn't doing a great job compared to the others.

Damn!, can't believe I missed the event, I would have liked to be there and see those S2ks on the course. Is it gonna be held this coming weekend?

Can't really tell which bar is doing a better job than the other, considering that the 3 cars were driven by different drivers and that they most likely were taking the turn at different speeds. Also it seems like each photo was taken a tic after the previous one, translating to the car being "deeper" in the turn and hence more lateral force on the car. I'm in no way an expert.

Hey Tom, where was the event held? I too live in Jersey and would love to enter an event. What are the prerequisites...as you can tell I'm totally new to this. When is the next one?
