So the cop was a dickhead for doing her job? Meh... cops take too much heat for doing what they are suppose to do.
Besides driving on a restricted license, who cares... you weren't doing anybody any harm and were just having a good time!!
Anybody that hasn't done their fair share of spinning donuts or burnouts or street racing here n' there shouldn't be driving a sports car!

Since when does vandalism equate to driving a sports car. Don't lump spirited driving with marring up someone elses property.
for the OP
it was a closed-down plaza, and i didnt even mark up the pavement. my restriction was up in a day or two and she was driving by and saw the smoke. she was nasty at first righting other kids ticket for their running cars but not being in them.. which i thought was odd, but once everyone they all left i just had to kiss her ass then she warmed right up to me. if she had given me a recless driving i wouldnt have driven again till i was 25...
This is ridiculous.
Ever think that maybe you would have gotten off with just a "get out of here and go home" if you weren't running on a restricted license? My guess is that the cop suspected (pretty correctly from where I'm sitting) that anyone who is going to do that kind of showboating while on a restricted license needs to be taught a lesson. She wasn't being a hard-ass at all and I think she actually let you off light. If I had been in her shoes I would have given you a reckless ticket (and it is reckless not recless).
Don't get me wrong, I'm sure you're a fine guy and I understand being young and just wanting to have fun in your car (you're lucky to have an S2000 at under 25). I'd be a hypocrite if I bashed you for having an S at a young age (I bought my '03 new at 22 I think). I think you just need to prepare yourself for a lot of negativity headed your way on this post because a lot of us are getting VERY tired of getting pulled over and cited for code violations on modifications made to our car because a lot of cops instantly assume that we're a street racer or reckless youth out doing silly and dangerous stuff in our cars. The reason a lot of cops have this belief is because they run into a lot of younger drivers out just having fun in their cars (albeit doing stupid stuff).
So when we see something like this and see someone who thinks the "man" is out to get them because they got caught doing something dumb instead of recognizing that they were doing something dumb and taking steps to becomming a more mature driver, it might incur some anger
Just some friendly advice, use this incident to become a more mature driver and prove all the stereotypes about car tuners wrong instead of proving them right
You'll also probably find that your car is more likely to stay in one piece too
