Before you get too excited... wouldn't a "20 Kick" mean he's squeezing?

Guys... Just my opinion, but that isn't as great as you think it is.
You think it's going so fast because he is revving up so damn fast. But he is hitting redline at an earlier speed, thus inconclusive.
I have 4.56 gears in my S along with intake and exhaust, and I can't pull at all on a stock S (with I/E as well).
Gears are great for Auto-X and other things, so you can downshift for a turn and remain in the power band... But for strait line comparison, don't keep your hopes up too high.

Just my 200 yen.

this is true. Obviously when you get higher gears, you get more response when you hit the gas, but in the end sacrfice it for the top end. With my Fuji-Racing ITB system with my 4.77 final gear drive, I should do pretty well in my Florida SCCA. Which is why I am most excited.

What? Then what is a "20 kick"? An acceleration run that starts at 20? That sounds moronic to me.

I beg to differ....For the record the red S2000 in the vid has the gears.

When I had my S, I had 4.77 and an aem v2, I have pulled on every Stock or near stock S (only I/H/E) when going from a stop or roll. I don't do launches. My tire/wheel set up was stock with SO-2's

I also ran a 13.3 with the listed mods. My 60ft was a 1.90. A couple people on this forum have driven my car and felt the difference in acceleration.

Everyone has their own opinion but if I were to buy another AP1, 4.77 will be ordered the same day.

hello all from Downunder

very intresting thread .

With this 4.77 mod . sounds intresting . Whats the main advantage of it ? quicker accelaration ?

would anyone have a 0-60mph time on a stock S2k with only the 4.77 mod ?
