_*BETTER pics pg6*_ Project: low offset S2k
i've always liked low offsets, and riley, you know i respect the amount of time you've put into this subject. But IMO, these offsets make no sense to me unless wider fenders or a BBK are involved. I do like to see the rear pop out some, but when the front does the same, it just looks cheap
upgrading your wheels/tires should enhance appearance and more importantly performance of your vehicle. Anyone can squeeze 18x11 +10 with 195 tires under their fenders but it really defeats the purpose of owning an s2000.
I personally run 17x9 +40 with 255/40/17 RA1s all around.. and yes its a race proven setup..my car sits real low as well with no rubbing (fenders flared by body shop).
I think people should stop competing to see who has the lowest offset or widest wheel, to me it just doesn't make any sense...

It has everything to do with it. Since these new owners havent owned a S2000 as long as the next guy means they do not have the experience with this car or wheels with this car or experiences with BBKs, aftermarket front and/or rear fenders, and most importantly wheel sizes/offsets/tire sizes (what we are talking about here.) Most (not all) of them came over from a FWD platform as seen by many posters ages over the years and you just cannot use FWD logic with the S2000. That is a fact.
I have seen so many threads stating that FWD offsets and sizes work great on the S2000. Not at all true. Ask Cthree, Ludedude, Asura, Krazik, etc. about wheels sizes and offsets and what some of them prefer as opposed to the younger crowd.
Look I am not here to argue. I am giving an honest observation and its shared by many not just by me.
Like I said some of you are right on while others are off.
