I've had so many problem with my audi.. my 01 2.7T i had for 14 months was in the shop for 12 months..

with only 47k on the ODO, it had CAT's replaced, turbo's replaced, all 4 wheel speed sensors replaced, abs controller replaced, moonroof(solarpanel) replaced, CD player replaced, 2 window regulator replaced, torque converter replaced... just to name a few.

coating on the door handle was melting off.. etc...

and recently i've been seeing the new audi's with the LED's on the head lights burnt out..

Japanese QA > German

Even hyndai has less problems then German.

I like the S5 but it's more of a cruiser than a sports/go-fast car. I prefer the M3 over the S5:
