Here is the installed pics, I did not use the carbon gauge cup. I couldn't find a suitable location that I was willing to mount it. Instead, the wideband and the boost gauge are now where the radio used to live. (The radio is under the drivers seat) It's not a perfect location, But I don't have any extra holes in the dash. I'm probably going to swap the wideband to the a-pillar, and move the H20 temp gauge to the behind the radio door.
The AEM uses a Bosch LSU O2 sensor, But it has been "accurized" with a Laser etched resister built into the connector. It should fit in the A-pillar, the biggest hassle is running the wiring to the sensor. The wiring cannot be disconnected from the gauge itself, which makes routing fun. The diameter is still 2 1/16, but the bezel of the AEM is much thicker than other gauges. Mine is installed at the same depth as the autometer next to it.
love the cup holder spot, y not just get dvd/cd/tv tuner/nav system and have it installed in the dash...sure as hell beats having the radio under ur seat haha
My radio is still fully operational, with the dash controls.
I can still load CD's, and listen to the radio when I would like. Since my passengers usually want the radio, It was a compromise. I still may yank it from the car.
The only problem I have with the cupholder mount is having to take your eyes completly off the road to look at the gauge. If I'm in boost and need to see the gauge, I'm going to fast to take my eyes off the road.
Purp, Glad It's installed. Looks good to me as long as you are happy with it.
