Default Aftermarket Hood Thread

Let's see 'em.....BTW who likes the Seibon replicas of the Mugen hood? They are priced much lower and look just as good(from the pics I have seen). The Veilside Millenium is pretty sweet too. If I get a Carbon fiber hood I would probably get it painted because I dont think it would look too hot with the Suzuka. That is why I am considering the Seibon. May the fun begin!!!

I don't have any experience with them but I know Team Spugen has a good reputation. You my want to give them a call and see what they have to say.

Just to let all you guys know that the picture of the Mugen "style" hood is actually an "authentic" Mugen hood priced at over $3000. The MG "style" hood from Seibon doesnt even come close to looking like that..The reason why that picture is up on there site is an inside joke. There is a reason behind that car being there.. Not, I repeat, NOT because it has a "style" hood.

That looks horrible. No offense. I would pay no more than $300 give or take $20 for that hood. You can see it doesnt even fit correctly in the picture and it will fade in time.. So yeah its worth the $300 if its going to fade/go in 12-24 months. Or you can pay $3000 and not have to worry, unless someone steals it.

Bottom line is you pay for what you get..
Yeah, thats what i paid for it on e-bay auction includes shipping the other $2600. i have left over by not buying the Mugen went towards the purchase of my turbo kit so please post some pics of your $3000. Mugen hood

fake hoods will always be fake hoods. you can NEVER compare with the authentic hood. the quality and fitment of the authentic is WAY more superior than fake hood. i don't see the point in buying fake stuff.
