Default afwfjustin's picture/modification thread

I'm asked quite often what all I've done to my car, and am making this thread so that I can link to it in my sig. I will post pictures of the car very soon as it's going through it's 1st major aesthetic transformation

I've always been more about performance than looks, so up until now I've focused mainly on power modifications. My first setup stayed N/A and included:

-Simota cold air intake
-J's Racing SPL exhaust manifold
-Hondata intake manifold gasket
-T1R V1 70mm single exhaust and test pipe
-VAFC2
-4.77 gears with Comptech differential
-210 pounds removed

This just wasn't enough go despite investing several thousand dollars. I decided to sell it all and go F.I. I looked for superchargers but decided that the car wouldn't be that much faster unless I got bigger injectors and an EMS, and decided by that point I would have spent enough money for a turbo setup so I did just that. I bought a partial InlinePRO turbo kit from PRS2K, one of the 2JZ swap pioneers. I pieced the rest of the kit together and came across a different setup, so I bought it and sold the Inline kit to local club member ChefJ. My current setup was hboy777's, and is now in the middle of an LS1 swap into the S. Funny how both of my turbo kits came from ridiculously awesome motor swap pioneers Now I have:

Engine/Transmission:
-InlinePRO 3mm headgasket
-ARP headstuds
-Hondata intake manifold gasket
-1000cc RC injectors with Honda resistor box
-AEM 1:1 fuel pressure regulator
-Competition stage 3 clutch
-Comptech flywheel
-Updated 02+ oil jet squirters

Turbo:
-Garrett GT3082 dual ball bearing turbo with .62ar hotside
-Lovefab V1 manifold
-3" downpipe and single exit exhaust with Tanabe muffler
-Tial 44mm wastegate
-Greddy Type-S blow-off valve
-2.5" charge piping
-4" intercooler core
-Walbro 255l fuel pump

Electrical:
-AEM EMS 1052U
-AEM Datastream Serial Gauge
-Modifry ECT
-Modifry DCI
-Pioneer head unit
-AP2 door speakers

Suspension/Wheels:
-Bilstein PSS coilovers
-Whiteline 30mm front anti-sway bar
-17" SSR Competition 8"/front 9"/rear
-Falken Azenis RT615 tires 225/front 275/rear

Interior:
-JPM shift boot
-JPM door inserts
-JPM console cover
-Muz black anodized/countersunk shift knob
-Bride Pro seats
-Science of Speed dual 52mm A-pillar gauge pod

Exterior:
-Faux vents and front grill removed from front bumper
-Custom brake ducting (soon to be ram-air for radiator)
-ZTEC single exhaust cap
-OEM AP1 rear spoiler
-Rick's clear sidemarkers
-Rick's USDM clear headlight diffusors
-Rearranged OEM badging

Coming up:
-AEM boost control solenoid
-C-Wings hardtop
-soft top removal
-different door mirrors
-NRG hood dampers

These pics are a bit weak, hopefully it'll hold everyone off until I detail the thing and get some really nice shots. I have had the car almost 3 years and have probably only taken 30 total pictures of the car

My first turbo being installed- a Turbonetics one that decided to kill itself. I later installed the Garrett GT30.

My first dyno tuning session! I hit 350 rwhp on 7 psi that day.

I just bought a new bumper today I got a new door (mine was keyed badly) and UPS damaged it so I still have to take care of that. I'm getting a Mugen replica hardtop next month so this thing is going to be lookin good really soon

I promise pics are coming fast!
