its a closed down airforce base where they used to build fighter jets and stuff like that on long island ny

An AP2 lip will hardly lower your front if at all...it mostly just overlaps your front bumper.

I'll have to disagree here and say that you will loose some ground clearance with an OEM lip.

^^I've had one before. The bottom of the lip bolts right up to the bottom of the bumper. You lose like 1/4 inch max.
