maybe I'm stupid... but what is the purpose of those fender braces?

 

looking great! I love fits. I got to drive the 5zigen rhd fit when it was at autobacs a while back and I was impressed with how well it handles. great little cars. I want one as a daily driver but Im afraid that I would just put a lot of money into one.

Maybe it's just me, but I wouldn't be caught dead in a Fit. Everyone here seems to love that car, but man it's ugly. If I put pics of a modified Prius up, I would get flamed over and over again. Maybe I should just keep my mouth shut. Just my two cents.

The fender braces reinforced the chassis. The place where the fender braces go are the parts of where the firewall and fender beam joins together. By reinforcing it, you can notice better turn response and stability.
