Default aLapHD for Android - Video and Data

Posted this on the UK side, but thought you guys might be interested too.

What you need
  1. An Android Phone running 2.2 or higher
  2. aLapHD App (free or paid) from the Android Market $6
  3. A Bluetooth OBD2 scanner like this from Amazon - also widely available on Ebay $30
  4. Racerender software http://www.racerender.com £Free or $30 for the full deluxe version

And here's what you can do (best watched in HD):

I made the dials myself using Racerender and you can add other dials like throttle position, gear, g-force, MAF, intake pressure, engine load etc etc.

I also now have a way of mounting the phone on my Modifry mount, so will capture better video without the screen mount getting in the way.

that's pretty cool!

on a side note, I don't know that i'd keep it at 9k for that long, from 2:10 - 2:28, you leave it between 8k - 9k without upshifting. bad for the motor imo

Thanks for the kind comments.

Three visits to Spa (and a host of other tracks) now, and 109k miles so all's well thanks.

I'd suggest that doing what you appear to have done to your suspension is far, far worse

haha, you're talking about the springs i assume? yeah that's pretty whack, i'll admit it's not my finest moment. But is it worse than letting the motor linger above 8k for 18 seconds? i don't know about that buddy

btw, incase you might have meant that my suspension/alignment specs are retarded, they're set at, -1.5 camber up front, -2 camber in the rear, caster/toe set at oem specs, no rubbing.

My engine's fine, thanks. 10 years old, 109k miles and sweet as a nut. It's a Honda you know, they love the revs!

We have similar geometry settings, but I have much smaller & lighter wheels and a ride height more suitable for English country roads.

that's re-assuring (no sarcasm). I hope mine holds up as well as yours by the time I hit 100k. you have some very nice driving and I enjoyed the video.

happy motoring
