Actually, it holds up pretty well. You have to remember to keep your hands clean though and not eat cheetos while driving

The biggest impact on the wheel is hand grease and friction from rubbing.

Yeah, several actually. Sorry I never posted pics up. Here's one I did last year. The customer wanted it slightly thicker so we added just a bit of padding:



I'm still wanting to do mine when I get a chance. We just got a hold of some Alcantara that has color behind the perforation so you can see color through the perf. Plus actual Kevlar thread which is a nice yellow to match my car
