Modern paint has an additive that makes it flexible. It will not crack from flexing or warping. If it did, car manufacturers couldn't use plastic body panels.

I am not sure if the your Amuse style hood is same as the very-first produced Amuse style hood... but if it is the same, I doubt you could line up the hood perfectly... and try to push your hood down in front of your vent, see if it bends... if it does... you probabily don't want this hood on your car... well, it is just my 2 cents opinion.

the theory could be...
"may be, if the hood is too flexible,
going at high speed the hood will be bent,
the very front tip of hood will be scoop air up and it might pop- up."

i dunno what demonderrick is saying either but,
my new hood does not bend like you described. (i just tried it.)
so i guess i still want this hood.

hey derrick, give me a bit more info?

sorry seung...i don't mean to hijack your thread here but WAIT A STINKING MINUTE!!!! whats this!!! theres gonna be an carbon fibre amuse style front lip!??!! evo2000, HOW MUCH???? i'm on the group buy for the urethane lip ( awaiting fitting results) but i would definitely rather have the CF version!! please lemme know.
