R compounds are fine in the rain as long as there is no standing water. I did a track day in the pouring rain on my D01J's and while I was the slowest in my run group (it was really coming down), the tires still had adequate grip. It wasn't like I was going to crash at any second.

But I would have been way faster on street tires for sure.

great pics! give you a lot of respect for tracking the cars with all the parts still on like me and my friends do. don't really like those AJ stickers on the sides. BTW, does the DC2 have a DC5R swap or RSX-S?

You can run full tread RA1's pretty well in the rain. Alot of race teams do that I think.

It's a J's Racing K20A (DC5-R) engine in the DC2.
