yes. used adhesive on mine and regreted. It failed to provide a stable holds so whenever I go on a bumpy road, the beams bounced up and down like crazy.

Here's what I've tried:

Hot Glue = Instant holds almost and real strong, but breaks apart after a few drives.
Silicone = pernament but flexible holds, takes quite a while to dry and cause of the flexibilities, the beams bounced up and down alot.

Finally (should have done this in the beginning)

Srews =provides stronger holds but temporary so You can uninstall it anytime you want. Plus its a lot cleaner and less messier than adhesive !!! the screws can be touch up to matches trims.
