I need to do this to my seats too. What product did you use, and what technique?

I apologized guys, I just copied and pasted the stuff from a thread I made on cargathering. I don't think I have the pics of the stuff I used, but I will explain it.

This was just kinda like a test to see how the steamer works so used just some basic products.

What was Used:

Turtle Wax Leather Cleaner.
A very soft microfiber Towel
A fabric steamer, the stronger the better. I used this one,
http://www.walmart.com/ip/Reliable-C...eamer/13731657
A soft brush, preferably one for leather.

How To:

- Once the steamer starts steaming, steam the whole seat for at least 3-5 minutes. This will soften up the leather, and also get the dirt softened.
- Spray the leather cleaner, all over the seat.
- Use the brush to scrub it on the leather, pretty good, until it foams up and turns white. (Depends on the leather cleaner, some might not foam up)
- Now use the steamer, go over the whole seat again, with the leather cleaned scrubed on. Scrub once again, apply more cleaner if needed. This step works the cleaner inside the leather.
- Now wipe it off.
- Next step is to get the steamer, and go over the leather, rubbing thoroughly the leather with the steamer ( it has a microfiber bonnet on it). And as you rub it, you wipe the water/steam off quickly.

The pores?
You do the same exact process, but you spray a bit more in the pores. You could use a toothbrush, to get inside them. Then you steam them, (this actually melts the bakes dirt/conditioner etc that is in there). Now you can get a vacumm cleaner and quickly suck out the moister/dirt while its still wet.

Now I would like to point out, that I once I get my Leatherique stuff, I will most probably be redoing this. I don't really feel safe using Turtle Wax on such seats. I was just trying out to see how it comes out. I still haven't used the seats so I am not worried.

I would recommend, using some nice cleaner, and DO NOT FORGET to condition the seats after you use them , or else they will crack very easily since they are fully bare right now. I will post pics of the seats after I have conditioned them.

I believe I explained enough about the steps to take. But if anyone needs any help doing it, I would be more than happy to help out

@Nadska. Tips???

There is one tip that I would like to give. Do not hold the steamer on one spot for more than 5-8 seconds. It will actually burn the leather and wrinkle it a bit. It happened to me twice but is barely noticeable. Just watch out on that, other than that, everything else is straight forward.

Wow, impressive. My driver side seat has a lot of acne, too. I just don't know if I have the patience to go and unclog every pore.

I actually didn't even use a vacumm cleaner to clean the pores. But if you use that, it will be really a lot easier.

All and all, doing the door panels, center console, 2 seats, and door sills took me may be 2 hours. I'll be doing the rest of the interior once the car is at my home
