I believe this picture was taken in Black Mountain. We took a little drive from Asheville when I first got the car.

 

i think stock wheels should be left alone...haven't seen any stock wheels that look better after they were painted or pc'ed. looks like a clown car but good ps skills.

 

painted my ap1 blue/teal cause i hate black rims that much.

 

I was messing around with this because the clearcoat on my wheels is getting haggard. I have brand new Dirreza(sp?) star specs mounted, so I can't really justify getting a set of AP2 wheels yet. I figured I'd "refinish" these so that when I end up running them as winter wheels, they won't look like total dump, and to protect the aluminum from being damaged by the salt. I did the original photoshop to see what gunmetal would look like. After I did the one color, changing it to others is a one minute affair. So, yeah, I agree, they mostly look pretty goofy.

 

I'd just do them in gun metal or something. The colored ones for stock wheels just look bad imo. But to each his own. Gun metal would look great though.
