Most of the people that I know that have one keep it insured through a company that specializes in kit car insurance. And from what I understand the price realy isn't all that bad. Its not like your insuring it as a daily driver.

No one agrees that they would like a 5 lug setup for wheel options?

SORRY, just read my original post and realized what I said wasn't very clear.

What I meant was I would prefer 5 lug for wheel choices, changing wheels to something sicker.
yes and no

5x114.3 and 4x100 are both very very very popular, you'll find more staggered 5x114.3 for sure but there's tons of lightweight(and cheap) 4x100.

it's not as big as a deal breaker as the chevy engine

I used to drive on of those. Amazing performance and you could feel the G-force!

It is a little expensive. If I was to do it again I would probably just do the half day. But when I did it, it was 90 degrees and it was draining.

I'm confused, what's so bad about the Chevy Cobalt SS motor, I heard they make nice power and are pretty reliable.

Generally there is nothing wrong with it. There is a guy in Portland that swapped out the super charger for a turbo built up to motor and is dynoing 500HP. The problems that people were having was mainly with the 300 HP version. After a couple of pulls they were dynoing they would dyno the same as a 245 HP version. Heat soak would would make the computer retard the timing so much you would loose over 50 HP. It was easy to put the computer into limp home mode. Mainly the problems had to do with Brammo and there unwillingness to properly solve issues that were well documented. Like the 300 HP problems. Everyone that I have talked to basically gave up on Brammo to fix any problems. And they took GM at there word that the tunes for the engines were good and would work perfectly. That was a real issue with me and I felt that dropping $60K on a toy there should be some better after purchase support.
