I was thinking corvette before i saw this baby. It will be my next sportscar for sure!. I'd definately go with the ecotech engine too 300hp with 250 ftlbs torque versus 300hp and 160ftlbs with the civic engine

Civic Type R motor supercharged to 350hp.
It's equipped with a JDM K20a CTR motor with JRSC.
It runs at near 300hp.

I'll be worried about reliability if it's running at 350hp

The Atom might be a good deal for supercar performance, but it's expensive for the amount of car you get.

The following is the absolute cheapest way to configure a new (300HP) Atom. The only way pay less for a new one is to order a weaker motor. The 140HP GM drivetrain costs $10,000 less:

Honda VTEC 2.0 Liter 300hp 163ft/lbs Supercharged 43,640.00
Standard Stainless Steel Headers & Exhaust 0.00
Standard Brakes 575.00
Adjustable Spring Platform Dampers 1,525.00
15" Front and Rear - Style A - Black 555.00
Yokohama AVS ES100 - 195/50VR/15 Front & Rear 310.00
Black Body Panels 0.00

TOTAL $46,605.00

The following is what I would like to order. Note that the price could be a lot higher. The Atom racing wheels cost over $4,000.00 and there are other options that I didn't include. I would want to add my own choice of wheels, seats, steering wheel, etc:

Honda VTEC 2.0 Liter 300hp 163ft/lbs Supercharged 43,640.00
Polished Stainless Steel Headers & Exhaust 835.00
Catalytic Converter "Test Pipe" 125.00
Alcon Race Brakes 2,045.00
Aluminum 2-way Adjustable Dampers 2,245.00
Competition Steering Rack 315.00
Race Spring Kit 605.00
15" Front / 16" Rear - Style B - Black 585.00
Yokohama Advan A048 - 205/50R15 Front, 225/45R16 Rear 955.00
Roll-Over Mounts in Chassis 360.00
Racing Roll-Over Bar 1,080.00
Fire Extinguisher Kit 355.00
Remote Brake Bias Adjuster 200.00
SPA Microdash Datalogger 3,950.00
Towing Eye Kit 180.00
Fuel Cut-off 45.00
Aerofoil Package - Carbon Fiber 5,800.00
Battery Master Switch 235.00
Side Panel Kit 355.00
Twin Bubble Windscreen 350.00
Carbon Fiber Front and Rear Fenders 1,200.00
Carbon Fiber Bodywork 2,950.00
Carbon Fiber Dash Panel 500.00
Carbon Fiber Race Tub 3,250.00
Stainless Hardware 725.00
Locking Fuel Cap 30.00
Road Race Lighting Kit 250.00
Passenger footrest & Deadpedal 275.00
Indoor Car Cover 525.00
Outdoor Car Cover 495.00

TOTAL $74,460.00

If I can make it happen, I'll have to go with the base model, and upgrade over time.

I am very suprised it didn't get first place, in front of the enzo...
When it did the Top Gear lap, it was without aero. The Enzo gets a big advantage from all the downforce generated by aerodynamics. Just last week though the Enzo and MC12 were beat by the new Zonda F

Considering it'll give an Enzo and Carrera GT a run for their money, it's not all that bad. It simply looses out on the impress-the-neighbors front.
