Default ASM 70MM

Hello,

I currently have the T1R 70RT exhaust system. I love the sound and power increase, minus the highway drone, and overall think it is one of the best exhausts for the S2000. However, I am getting WAY too much attention from local police, even though I rarely drive aggressively. I know a silencer would fix the sound problem, at least to a degree, but the problem is, silencers have a major negative affect on power. For some reason, I hate racing or dynoing in any different configuration than what I actually run on the street. To make a long story short, I am getting so annoyed with the police in the Northern Virginia area that I am actually thinking of selling my car, until I can move somewhere more car friendly. Does anyone have any sound clips of the ASM 70MM exhaust? This is supposed to make very similar power to the T1R 70RT, but be much quieter. I tried a search, but it was to no avail. thanks for the help!

-Stefan

Make sure you listen to HunterEz's car at 2:21, which is the black s2k. I am also considering one as well.

You kind of get a good idea of the sound from 4:00-4:11.

It is a very plain looking exhaust so if you're looking for low key and quiet, this is as good as it gets. Here are a few pictures and a in-car video.

Here is a in-car video at the track. Theres a big of wind noise but you get the general point. http://s9.photobucket.com/albums/a57/Hunte...oWS20070107.flv

The only other owners I know of with this exhaust is medicalstudent(his car does not run yet) and e-autosports has the SS version on their car.

I don't have dynos nor do I really care.

I like it, how much louder than stock is it? It seems much quieter than my T1R, not to mention if I had an exhaust cap, I might not even get pulled over for having aftermarket exhaust. Nice. If you wouldn't mind PMing me how much you got yours for? Also, I have never seen the SS version for sale? Any links? thanks again man, BTW love your car!

EDIT: NM, found them on bulletproof's site. Anywhere else you can buy this? I'd prefer not to deal with bulletproof.

It is not that much louder then stock. Slightly louder then Mugen. Sorry, I cannot disclose my price. I recieved my exhaust from Tommy at Go Tuning Unlimited. I believe he has one in stock. https://www.s2ki.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=415494
