So I was on my way to a local monthly meet here in Atlanta yesterday and was about 4 blocks away when I was making a left hand turn. Out of no where, a young lady runs the red light and creams me. I almost completed a u-turn trying to avoid her, but it just wasn't enough to miss her. But I probably managed to save much worse damage. The bumper got completely knocked off. I had to pick it up out of the intersection. It took the cop an hour to get to us in down town Atlanta!!! All involved individuals are ok tho, which is what really counts. The body shop is already on their way to come pick up the car and assess the damage and get work started asap. Hopefully they can salvage the bumper and fender. I'm not sure I'm prepared to wait 4+ months to get the new ones from Japan. I'm awaiting a call from their adjuster to come and look at everything and hopefully they are prepared with a fat check... you guys wish me luck. This is going to be an uphill battle with the lady's insurance company I'm sure.

Gives you an excuse to change it up if you want! Alos make sure you get what is called depreciated value from the insurance too because now there is a wreck on the vehicles history which depreciated the value of you car! Just be stubborn and you will get everything out of them! The last thing they want is to be sued so keep that for your last ditch effort to use as a threat.
