The roads in Hong Kong are quite well paved and maintained ... especially when you think about the fact that it doesn't snow there, and there isn't salt to screw up the asphalt!

There are plenty of these curvey and windy highways and roads up mountains that are, theoreticaly, perfect for spirited driving. Unfortunately, those are public roads and aren't meant for that. Yet people still do it. People have no where to go "trash" their cars like we do in the US (i.e. tracks and AutoX) without having to shell out over 1K USD for an event.

Of course, the fact that there are no roads to speed and push the car around isn't in any way an excuse for speeding ... and that could have hurt other innocent people on the road as well ...

Hope they'll rest in peace ...

Quite the accident.

 

not cool man this crap makes me hate drivin with friends i dont trust any young drivers but myself. but trust me i have seen waaaaaay worse than this on the net some very sick wrecks out there. it really makes you think twice about speed. i mean you dont wont to be layed out like those guys. please drive safe people and RIP to those guys and all the others that this has happened to. i wish this would be the last time somethin like this happens but.....

 

I heard that the driver was drunk. Heard that those guys were on the way to another bar after a few drinks. They probably didn't know they were hitting the wall until 1/2 second before hitting it ...

Nevertheless, it was a very tragic accident ...
