Mike, there's not much difference in weight
According to the BBS website
17x7.5 = 18.3 lbs.
17x8.5 = 19.06 lbs.
18x8 = 19.84 lbs.
18x9.5 = 20.68 lbs.
Plus you get the awesome lip for the rear due to the 9.5 inch width +55 offset

Get 18's, You definitely can't go wrong... I agree with what was said about the 17's, I think the lip makes them look way too small, unless you're going to completely dump the car.
