Looks good to me! I agree with adding the black floor mats and you will be set! I think you both got a good deal out of the trade I think it probably made both interiors look a little better and more interesting. Maybe go back and ask the guy to swap floor mats too?

I think it's too busy, with black parts here and there.

 

I really like the door inserts and shift knob looks sweet. I agree floor mats would add more black to the forward section of the interior. Also try taking some photos out of direct sunlight, seems in a photo like this it makes the red look washed out.

That is a very rare combo. Wasn't it only available for MY02? I miss my MY02 GPW with all red every day. The red interior was so racy and sexy.
OP- you should do a complete swap, but don't half step with it....
