you are absolutely right...

there are a lot of operator mistakes

picture taken with Nikon d70 at the bottom of my driveway.. and then 2mins of photoshop by a pre-school beginner of photoshop (which is me)

I like to take pictures of my car..but I never found a good way of describing what the essence of an S2000 is with a picture. Even the Honda brochures,,where I am sure they have spent $$$$ don't really do it for me

My friends ask what car I have, "S2000"...

"never heard of it?"

Show them a picture... "oh yeah, an MX5"

Show them the actual car..."wow!! ...did not realise you had something like this"

I was exactly the same when I saw the Honda for the first time in the metal..

the other problem I have, is with digital..despite whatever system I use, Sony - Olympus - Nikon - Canon , they don't like Midnight blue..which is the deep purple colour of the car. I think it is something to do with the way the pixels create purple...it just looks like digital noise. I think blue sensitivity is different than red/green or something...anyway looks crappy to me.

example'

Hence now I try and see what happens with some black and white.

I would prefer to get an authentic good photograph versus using the computer - however I think the pros cheat more than the amateurs,

watching tv show the other day...where they had paid $$$ for a top photographer to do shots for an ad campaign, and the final photo has so many changes on a computer, you wonder why they bothered to pay for the famous guy in the first place.

I think I took the picture on the programmed mode as I was having trouble on the exposure...originally trying to get a blue sky which seemed impossible (so gave up)..

good feature of the D70 is that you can at least see what the depth of field will be..need to use it though.
