I am loving the look of the s2k. How do you like that type 3 wing? I just stepped up from a type 2 to a type 3.

Step away from the cars! You're heavily distorting pictures that could otherwise look more realistic by just walking back a few paces. Sometimes you want the wide-angle look but most of the time, it doesn't do anything for you and in most of these pictures, it really makes them look weird.

Nice cars, though!

Thx for the comments guys!

I'm using a Nikon 10-24mm... I realize some photos made the cars look kind of "chubby" or way too distorted. Is this a matter of just positioning myself too close to the car, or does it come down to choice of lens?

I can tell the difference on and off track in terms of downforce (clearly type 3 can produce much more) and drag (type 3 also has much more)... For the amount of df I have, type 3 is slightly an overkill, particularly considering the amount of drag penalty. If I can, I'd love to try a type 7.

look more at home on Mulholland than in DTLA
I agree...too bad we're so lazy! next time!

It comes down to the quality of the lens. Also, most lenses start distorting around the edges at wide open aperture and/or the extreme focal lengths. So if you're shooting these at the lowest F-stop and/or 10mm focal length, try zooming in a little or going for a narrower F-stop.
