HOLY! The Veyron pulls away on the straights like it has an Acme rocket booster strapped to it's ass! Who cares about cornering speed in a case like that? By the time the other car actually reaches the corner, you're so far ahead it won't make a difference.

Perhaps the Elise was not stock? Perhaps, as you say the driver sucked, so the car was not up to it's full potential. Too many factors to just straight up call it a pig. You just never know...

 

bugatti probably wasn't being pushed too hard and the elise has a passenger, which has got to double the weight of the car
