I just watched that video again it's actually very sad the 2nd time viewing it I mean street racing is illegal and very dangerous but car modification is a very serious hobby and for most of us on this forum A WAY OF LIFE and this is just way too harsh of a punishment

Yeah. That's the thing. If you go to a scrap yard to get parts to fix your car, if you do a swap . . . anything except by parts from the auto manufacturer, or aftermarket parts from companies, and carry the receipts with you at all times, your car will get crushed.

It's a very stupid law. And it's not meant to just stop street racing, it's meant to crush the entire car tuner scene.

Like the one guy, got pulled over for no blinker, and his car got crushed. He wasn't racing or anything. It's a bunch of bullshit and I refuse to live in California for that very reason.

Stupid-ass hippie state.

It suprises me, given what i interpret to be the reasoning behind the crushing of cars for "stolen" parts and such, that more houses aren't leveled and burned to the foundation when stolen goods/drugs are found in a home or if a crime is commited within a house.

here is how i see it, if the serial numbers don't match then it must be stolen? take a look under most the hot rods and what not out there that rip around with straight pipes and motor swaps and all that good shit too, that break laws like everyone else in the car modification world, do u see there cars getting crushed and harassed, not nearly as often as the "tuner" scene people do, i saw **** america and there discriminatory views on import cars, instead of harassing car hobbiest bust all the damn drug dealers and shit selling drugs to younger kids and all the damn pedafiles out there, u know theres tons watch dateline ones and u will see, so all you haters get off our back!!!!
