Default Camera Accessory Suggestions

i've finally decided to step up to the bigger leagues.
though it's not an SLR, i got a great deal on a canon g6.

any recommendations on a high quality photoprinter, high capacity (high transfer) CF card? any other accessories you all would recommend?

thanks!

got a canon i960 to print out stuff from my nikon d70 and nikon coolpix4500. it's quick, very silent, and all my friends are amazed at the quality of the photos. if you get a photo printer, i highly recommend getting good photo paper to go w/ it too......eventually if you get really good w/ it, you can start selling the prints like i'm starting to do.

as for the cf card, sandisk or lexar 1gb high speed (80x) should be more than sufficient

I don't think you need a high speed card, the only difference from my tests is when downloading onto the computer. At full blast on my cameras 10D + 20D regular CF cards and high speed ones made no difference in the camera.

High speed CF cards depend completely on your camera's ability to utilize the extra write speed. You should notice a difference on a 20D. You should not notice it on a 10D. I can't speak to the G6.

As for printers, my vote would be a high-end epson. I've done lots of print work for school projects (graphic design/advertising type stuff) where we stare at the prints under close examination and have yet to see anything that prints better than the good epson printers. The 1280 is what we were using, but they may have something better out now.
